Mount Everest, also known as Chomolungma is the world’s highest mountain, at 29,035 ft.  It is part of Asia’s Himalayan range and is located between the borders of Nepal and Tibet.  It was first climbed by Sir Edmund Hillary and Sherpa Tenzing Norgay in 1953.
